We offer expert training solutions from group classes to individual classes both set and tailor made to suit your requirements. Training is done at our workshop in Chipping Norton NSW.
You can choose to do a general training session that takes you through the process in a general sense or you can have a specific agenda that you want to focus on.
Training is not cinducted on Mondays.
Comprehensive Sandcarving Training Day
It's a hands on training day where you do the practical work and learn not only the fundamentals but also complex processes such as multi-colour paint fill and half tone etching. You can bring your own artwork and your own materials if you wish and we will focus the training.
This day is adapted for total beginners, people with some experience and advanced sandcarvers.
What you learn

- Overview on the artwork process

- Exposing resist – standard and fine detail
- Washing out – manual and automatic
- Applying Resist to substrates and masking
- Sandcarving – glass trophies, glassware, Stainless Steel, Stone, Acrylic

- Specific training in what you want to do

6 Hours: 9am to 3:30pm (half hour lunch break)

$770.00 for 1 person
Additional Person from the same organisation - $110 per person. Limit of 3 extra people
Sandcarving Training Session (by the hour)
You can design your own training session and amount of time spent at training. We can provide you with a basic training session to get you going in sandcarving or we can focus on specific requirements such as paint filling, stone etching etc.
Timing
Training sessions are conducted between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm.
We break for lunch daily at 12:30pm
Cost
$132.00 per hour for 1 person.
Minimum training session = 2 hours
Additional Person from the same organisation - $44.00 per hour.
System Purchase Training
When you buy a new sandblasting machine for use we offer 12 months technical support and training over the phone.
We also offer a free 2 hour “Getting Started” training session in our workshop.
If you prefer a Comprehensive Sandcarving Training day at our workshop we offer this at 30% discount on the standard day rate.
Getting Here
Easily accessible from Sydney Airport.
By Train – Take the train to the East Hills Railway station from the Sydney Airport station. Then get a cab or Uber from the station. It’s about 10 minutes from East Hills.
By Car –From the airport it’s about 20 minutes. Head west on the M5 and take the Heathcote turn off. Use google Maps to get you there.
Payment
See each class below to see the costs of the classes. All costs must be paid in full before the commencement of the training.
Training Start Time
All training starts at 9:00am and runs for the time allocated. A 30 minute lunch break may be included during your training. A lunch shop is across the road.
What to Bring
Note Book and Pen, Any ready artwork you would like to use (must be vectorised eps file with fonts converted to curves, any specific materials you want to blast. We do provide some materials but may not have all materials.
