ProBlast’s Vacuum Blaster Range: Uses and Differences
ProBlast offers a range of vacuum sandblasters for everything from large-scale engraving to portable onsite work. We also provide easy finance packages.
This document compares three key systems: the CNC AutoBlaster, Sandmaster Junior Plus, and Sandmaster Compact. It highlights their core features, ideal applications, and technical differences to help you select the best fit for your operation.
CNC AutoBlaster
Overview
A fully automated, PLC‑driven vacuum sandblasting system for stone, glass, metal, etc. Designed to replace antiquated, dirty manual sandblasting and make sandblasting automated, which reduces labour and creates an easier work environment.
Automatically controls abrasive refill, vacuum filtration, programmable blasting zones, speed, depth, and border fields ProBlast PhotoEtch Systems.
Key Features
- The vacuum reclaim system eliminates booth and suit requirements.
- Fully automatic pot refill, even mid-job, and self-cleaning filter cycles
- Blasting zones mapping, programmable depth and pass count, and high speed up to 10 cm/s
Ideal Use‑Cases
- High surface‑area jobs: headstones, plaques, architectural panels.
- Workshops aiming for consistent, efficient output with minimal operator fatigue.
- Businesses want low supervision, high‑quality throughput.
Sandmaster Pro (SM‑PRO)
Overview
The Sandmaster Pro is a powerful vacuum sandblasting machine built for busy workshops and high-volume headstone engraving. It’s a manual system that runs on a pressure pot with built-in vacuum dust recovery, making it clean and efficient to use.
While it works perfectly on its own, it can also be upgraded later to work with the AutoB CNC automated table for even greater productivity.
Key Features
- Triple cyclone abrasive separation + pneumatic filter‑shaking system for cleaner reclaim and prolonged filter life.
- Electro‑pneumatic control system with a decompression valve to release tank pressure in seconds.
- Dustless pot refill via level sensor, even mid‑job.
- Average sandblasting time: 10–15 minutes per headstone, air consumption up to 800 L/min.
- Compact, wheeled design (~220 kg), easily integrated into a workshop for manual vacuum blasting.
- Can be integrated later with CNC automated blasting table.
Ideal Use‑Cases
- High-output engraving workshops that produce over 300 headstones per year.
-
Businesses prioritising ergonomic, efficient, and clean manual blasting without needing full automation.
Sandmaster Junior Plus (SM‑JUNIOR +)
Overview
A portable, efficient, vacuum‑pressure‑pot dustless blaster primarily for in‑factory headstone engraving.
Key Features
- Brush‑head vacuum reclaim. The system uses a special brush head to collect used abrasive as you blast. It reuses the abrasive in a closed loop, separating dust and debris in two steps. And automatically re-delivers good abrasive to the pressure pot.
- The filters clean themselves automatically, and the machine refills the abrasive on its own, allowing you to keep working without interruption.
- Self‑adjusting abrasive/air mix valve, electro‑pneumatic control, efficient filtration, and low compressed air consumption (~700 l/min)
- Supports optional Levelling Arm for weightless, ergonomic blasting over curved or vertical surfaces.
Ideal Use‑Cases
- Medium‑production stone engraving in workshops.
- Operators who benefit from portability and ergonomic operation.
- Businesses that need reliable, high‑quality vacuum blasting without full automation.
Sandmaster Compact (SM‑COMPACT)
Overview
Lightweight, mobile, pressure‑pot sandblaster with a cyclone dust‑separation reclaim system; designed for onsite work or tight floor space. Ideal for onsite headstone engraving with minimal abrasive loss and a cleaner work environment.
Key Features
- Compact 30kg empty machine, low air usage (~550–650 l/min), and industrial all-terrain wheels for easy mobility
- Vacuum motor 1200 W, cyclone separation and internal sieve to prevent clogging
- Closed-circuit vacuum abrasive reclaim, dustless blasting performance suitable for site use without setting up containment
Ideal Use‑Cases
- Travelling headstone engraving (e.g. cemetery onsite).
- Tight space operations (small workshops or booths).
- Users requiring easy transport and setup, with dust containment.
