Introduction
In this article we offer some recommendations for compressors to suit our range of Vacuum Blasting Systems. It is important to have plenty of air supply and in this article, we offer minimum and recommended requirements. Investing in a good compressor ensures efficiency in production and less down time.

Air Dryer
It is highly recommended that your compressor has a built-in air dryer, or you add one on to your set up as moisture is not a friend of pressure pot sandblasting. Damp abrasive may clog up the flow making the blast in-efficient or completely stop. Once you have damp abrasive you have a clean out job ahead of you to get production flowing again. An air dryer doe does not guarantee exclusion of dampness, but it is very likely that it will have a positive and efficient effect on workflow.
This is the kind of Air Dryer that would be suitable.
Rule of Thumb
- The bigger the nozzle the more the abrasive shot, the more air you need to push through your system.
- The higher the pressure of the blast the more continuous air you will need.
- The longer you continuously blast the bigger litres per minute output your compressor needs.

This machine comes standard with a 5mm diameter orifice nozzle. There is also a 6mm nozzle available.
