Compressor Recomendations for Rayzist Cabinets

Taking Care of your compressor starts with buying a good compressor in the first place. You need plenty of air flow for the size of machine you buy and the type of work you are doing. If you are planning on running you sandblaster for long periods each day you need a compressort that can keep up with the output.

One brand that we highly recommend is Chicago Silent Compressors. They really are quiet and we have had great success with them.

What to Buy

We recommend a compressor with 14-17cfm and a tank capacity of around 70ltr to suit all Rayzist Sandblasting machines.

Make sure the compressor you choose has a regulator attached so you can control the air output. It should be set to 80psi for sandblasting with Rayzist compressors.

This Chicago Silent Compressor is well built and very quiet. We highly recommend it.

Compressor Care

Your compressor tank will gather moisture so a regular releasing of the tank valve will help keep your air dry and in turn keep your abrasive dry. When moisture is in the air lines you will get moisture in the pressure pot which dampens the abrasive and inhibits unrestrained abrasive flow. So release the air from the tank regularly. If you are using the compressor regularly it is a good idea to shut down the compressor at the end of the day and release the tank valve for an overnight draining.

It is a good idea to have an ariline filter in the airline between the compressor and sandblaster.

Make sure you refer to the user manual for instructions on lubricating the compressor motor and moving parts.
